If your daughter needs to be hard at work, but you still want her to wear a feminine style, this pattern is for you. I wore gauchos to perform my janitor duties at a Daycare center in a previous career. I gave them an elastic back waist band and hip pockets.
They have a zipper and hook and eye on the side. This pattern looks good in most any sturdy cotton. (e.g. – ordinary prints, poplin, twill, and denim).
The (optional) vest is great for school uniforms or for camp transitions from playtime to chapel skirts. It gives new dignity to any blouse or T-shirt.

- Waist
- Hips
- Center – from top of front waistband down the center seam to top of waist band in back of a comfortable pair of slacks or culottes in your closet
- Length from waist to below knee hem
