Description
I have had the advantage of growing up in the ministry with my parents in a variety of small struggling church situations. (By small, I mean faithful attendance ranging from 10-50.) My parents made “something out of nothing” many times in these churches; and when I came along, I learned the art.
From age 4, I learned to perform music and drama. When my sister joined us, she joined the team. This developed our minds and hearts and gave us poise that we would not have had otherwise.
This Christmas program offers a chance to take what you have and make “something out of nothing”. The story line for the program is done in simple choral reading style. It can be done with an adult on the main poem and children on the tag line; or with a division of the poems between talented teens and men on the tag line, etc. Be sure that the poem is coached for proper rhythm and expression. Use your own resources and imagination.
The music can be done with a variety of voices and instruments and you can add 1 or 2 of your own numbers if you want.
